High pressure cleaning of storage tanks
Cleaning is carried out by using a twin gun wash down pump at 400 to 500 bar pressure. A specialised electric
cradle is used to clean the higher levels of the tanks. This cradle can be dis-assembled and passed through one
of the access manholes. By using a high pressure pump with fresh water this will remove the salt and outside
contaminants from the tank. Chloride test shall be carried out to ensure the tank is free from salts/chlorides.
